Angela was born and raised in Long Island, New York and has called New Orleans, Louisiana home since 2017. During the completion of her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology degree from Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania, she began volunteering with nursing homes and individuals with chronic mental illnesses. This experience shaped her desire for a career in the mental health services focused on providing counseling and advocacy.
Angela graduated from Loyola University New Orleans in May of 2020 with her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling after completing a one-year clinical internship providing counseling services at Catholic Counseling Service and LCCE. At Loyola, Angela was president of Alpha Phi Chapter of Chi Sigma Iota, Counseling Academic Honor Society. Angela volunteered at the Louisiana Association for Play Therapy Conference for three consecutive years. Angela earned The Mimi Heebe Excellence in Play Therapy Award in May 2020. Following graduation, she worked at an Intensive Outpatient Treatment center providing group therapy to adults with chronic mental illnesses.
Angela joined Nourish Counseling Studio September 2021 providing play therapy to children and helping parents navigate challenges. Angela hopes to continue her passion in providing support and empowering children and adolescents throughout their healing journey and raising awareness of the impact of mental health issues.
