Hi, I’m Leigh Lorraine Bondurant! I received my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Hendrix College and my Master’s in Educational Counseling from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. I was born and raised in Jackson, Mississippi, and moved to New Orleans in 2017, where I’ve been grateful to build both a personal and professional life rooted in community. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of working closely with children and families across a variety of school and community based environments throughout the New Orleans area.
These experiences have given me a deep appreciation for the unique strengths and challenges each child and family brings to the counseling process. I approach therapy with warmth, curiosity, and care, creating a space where children feel safe to express themselves, build self-awareness, and develop the skills they need to thrive.
My work is rooted in a non directive, child centered approach, using play, creativity, and connection to help children explore their emotions and grow in confidence. I have a particular passion for working with children experiencing anxiety, attention related challenges, and difficulty with emotional regulation. I also value working closely with caregivers, recognizing the important role they play in their child’s progress both in and out of the therapy room.
I am a Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselor (PLPC) in the state of Louisiana and feel honored to walk alongside families as they navigate life’s challenges and celebrate their growth.
