So many books and movies explore the theme of coming of age for good reason. This period of life is notoriously challenging and is often full of confusion, worry, and feeling overwhelmed. During this time when the world around you begins to expand, it can be helpful to have a supportive, nonjudgmental person to share your thoughts and feelings with as you work toward your goals.
Alice: “Where should I go?”
The Cheshire Cat: “That depends on where you want to end up.”
Whether you are starting high school or are getting your first job, it can be important to explore who you are, who you want to be, and where you want to go.
In my work with young people, I encourage you to learn the skills you need to have successful interpersonal relationships, a solid foundation of self-esteem, and a sense of achievement for drawing a map of your ideal future.
