I enjoy helping children and families develop skills to help reduce anxiety, improve relationships, and navigate life transitions. I often empower clients to develop the skills necessary to self-regulate, set and achieve goals, and improve self-esteem. I am passionate about helping clients recognize the “little wins” that help them to get closer to their goals. My hope for each of my clients is for them to find life more manageable through our work together. I am a supportive, empathetic counselor.
I believe in the power of creative interventions, so my work with children and families often harnesses the therapeutic power of play, sandtray, and art-based interventions. Using a creative lens helps people of all ages express emotions more easily. I also work with parents to share techniques to provide support for home and school to reinforce work done in sessions with children.
Managing anxiety, poor self-esteem, and a stressful environment can be challenging both for my clients and their families. Reaching out for support takes courage and strength, but many people feel it is well worth the investment in your future.
I focus on the relationships between caregivers and children. I believe that a safe, nurturing relationship is the foundation upon which all healing takes place, and so many of my interventions focus on improving the bonds between parents and children.
