I believe everyone deserves a safe, welcoming space where they can feel heard, understood, and accepted. My goal is to create an environment where clients feel comfortable being themselves and know they don’t have to face life’s challenges alone. I approach therapy with compassion, curiosity, and the belief that each person already has unique strengths; we just work together to uncover and build on them. I believe the relationship between therapist and client is one of the most important parts of the therapeutic process, so I strive to meet each client where they are. Therapy is a collaborative journey, and I encourage open communication and feedback along the way so we can continue to create the best path forward together.
As a play therapist, I believe children often communicate best through play, and I tend to take on a child-centered, non-directive approach. Play gives them a safe and natural way to express thoughts and feelings that can be difficult to put into words. Every child is different, so I tailor the therapeutic process to meet each child’s individual needs, allowing goals and approaches to grow and change over time. I also believe caregivers are an important part of the process, and I enjoy partnering with families to help children build confidence, strengthen coping skills, and navigate challenges such as anxiety, depression, life transitions, or times when they simply need a little extra support.
