I created Nourish Counseling Studio, LLC to empower my clients to work toward change within their lives. I thrive when working with children, teens, and young adults experiencing anxiety, difficulty adapting to life transitions, and coming out as LGBTQ+. Often, my clients have goals of increasing self-esteem and boosting self-confidence. This often helps with decreasing worry and developing new skills to get through the tough times.
What to Expect in Therapy with Megan
I help my clients to set and achieve goals by developing a treatment plan specific to what you want to focus on in therapy. I use techniques such as:
- play therapy
- sandtray therapy, and
- cognitive-behavioral therapy
How Does Therapy Help?
Ultimately, feeling comfortable with your therapist is the greatest agent for therapeutic change. To achieve this, early sessions typically focus on rapport building and establishing reasonable therapeutic goals for our work together. Also, I offer a variety of services to meet your needs, including individual and group therapy to facilitate coping skill development. Next, let’s talk about what information you may find on the blog.
What Can I Learn from the Nourish Blog?
This blog is intended to serve as a resource for current and prospective clients to get to know me as a therapist. I also want to help clients and their families learn tips and tricks that can support you in your life journey. For example, here are some topics I plan to cover.
- parenting tips about:
- helping your kiddo work through anxiety,
- life transitions, and
- getting through the tough seasons of childhood
- Resources for teens and young adults who are hoping to:
- learn new skills to help manage anxiety
- go through life transitions, and
- navigate the coming out process as LGBTQ+
It is difficult to reach out for help. As a result, having a sense of what to expect in therapy can help to make clients more comfortable. Finding the right therapist can seem overwhelming. Because of this, I want to give you a taste of what I am like as a therapist may be helpful for you as you see if we are a good fit. Thank you for being on this journey with me!
Finally, If you feel as if I am a match for what you are looking for in a therapist, consider reaching out today.
